Jazz in Review: Part 1
Date: April 23rd, 2015
Media: DVD Video Production
The Brookfield Jazz Society featured an Epic Presentation titled "Jazz in Review: Part 1", which highlighted the music from live jazz events held over the first 10 Years of Supporting Jazz in Brookfield and the surrounding area. The video DVD presentation offered select music tracks from the performers and groups (see list below) that have entertained audiences starting in October 2005 through April 2009, which was the 50th live jazz event. Accompanying the audio tracks were informational slides that highlight certain presentations and special events held by the Brookfield Jazz Society over the same time period. Added to the mix were some Fun Facts about the BJS that impressed audience members.
Last, but not least, photos taken by Marc during the respective performance were shown to illustrate all the people that came out during live jazz over the years to enjoy an evening full of Jazz. All of this was preceded by the Jazz Standard known as Take Five as recorded by the Dave Brubeck Quartet on July 1st, 1959 and displayed a very entertaining visual montage and pictures from the very first gathering of the BJS.

Due to the large undertaking of this project and the amount of time it covers, there will be a Part 2, Part 3, and even Part 4. The Part 2 & 3 will cover the rest of the 10 years and end at the 10th Anniversary Party, which was held in March 2015. Part 4 will be a special collection of artists/songs from the entire 10 year era based on votes tallied from audience members that attend the first three parts. Only those in attendance will be able to take advantage of the voting process as well as be treated to a few extra surprises on the night.
A word of "Thanks" to everyone that came out to enjoy the Jazz in Review: Part 1 on Thursday, April 23rd, 2015.
